Types of Membership
APISA offers different membership pathways for individuals and distinguished contributors who support its mission and values.
Full Membership
For individuals who meet the specific membership requirements defined in the association’s statute.
Associate Membership
For individuals who meet the general membership requirements of the association.
Honorary Membership
For distinguished non-Afghan individuals whose scientific, managerial, or practical contributions are of special value to the association or who have made meaningful contributions to advancing its goal.
Membership Requirements
Membership in APISA is based on both general and specific requirements defined in the association’s statute.
General Requirements
- Acceptance of the statute and practical commitment to it
- Completion of the membership form
- Full social eligibility

Specific Requirements
- At least a bachelor’s degree, or current enrollment in higher education anywhere in the world
- Having a meaningful experience in peace and human rights, subject to Board determination
Associate members may, upon proposal by the Board and approval of the General Assembly, be admitted to full membership on a case-by-case basis.
