The first session of the educational workshop series “Peace Begins Within,” organized by the Afghanistan Peace International Studies Association, was successfully held in Kabul.
This session focused on self-awareness and building self-confidence, aiming to promote mental wellbeing and strengthen resilience among Afghan girls. Participants engaged in discussions about understanding personal strengths, self-belief, emotional awareness, and the importance of hope and confidence in personal and social life.
The workshop was facilitated by Zakia Alizadeh, psychosocial facilitator for women and children and social activist, who spoke about the importance of mental health and the role of self-confidence in empowering girls and building a healthier society.
Participants welcomed the initiative and emphasized the importance of continuing such educational and supportive programs for girls.
The Afghanistan Peace International Studies Association stated that the workshop series will continue in the coming weeks, covering topics related to emotional stress management, anger control, resilience, and inner peace.
